UV POLISH

I headed over to Portmarnock on Wednesday after receiving a invite from The Beauty Boutique in Suncroft Avenue on Strand Road in Portmarnock village. The drive down was a bit of a adventure for me as i never been to Portmarnock (shock i know) the scenery on my way down was lovely even though the weather wasn't so nice but i got there in the end and was really looking forward to getting my nails done.

Upon arrival i was greeted at the door by the owner Lara. She gave me a quick show around of the rooms that are in her boutique. With each room that is there that is were she does the treatments,so if your looking for a spray tan, nails, waxing and facials the rooms are there for you to pop into. I was getting the nails done so in i popped to the nail room. She got cracking on painting my nails with all the different colors from the UV polish range Sugar Me Up.

She was telling me all about the range and that the nail varnish will stay on your nails for two to three weeks. Its like the new shellac and gelish. I found getting the nails done was a lot quicker too. Your nails are all set by the UV light so no worrying about smudging your nails after just getting them done. I was very happy with the outcome as i got them done for my little trip to Berlin with the girlies. I love my one diamond on each finger of my hands and the colors are so bright and in your face which i love.

Next time your down in Portmarnock why not check out The Beauty Boutique and get a little treatment done for yourself. Lara was so nice and friendly and had a great chinwag with her. After getting the nails and the rain had finally stopped i decided to take a little walk along the beach and it was so refreshing. Really enjoyed my Wednesday :)))

ST.PATRICK'S WEEKEND

Over a week and a half ago it was St.Patrick's Weekend so a lot was happening in our small little country peeps. Its the one weekend were we can say were really proud to be Irish and where the whole country and all around the world goes green for one day on the 17th of March. Even though their was a lot happening we decided to head out on the Sunday. Me and my sister and a couple of the girlie's were to head into Temple Bar but we ended up meeting someone else we knew while waiting on the laus. They invited us to go to O'Donoghue's in Merrion Row were we would meet up with more people we knew.

Of course when we got there the place was jammers but the people we were meeting up with already had a table so that was a blessing lol. Their was a band there playing traditional Irish music the only one thing was we couldn't really hear them over everyone talking but we didn't let that dampen our time. After a while we moved on to Pygmalion for a boogie. On St.Patrick's Day myself, sister and mam got invited into our very good neighbours Bernie house for dinner. When we arrived Bernie had the table all set out beautiful and Frank her husband went around with a bag that we couldn't look into to pull out what would be a hat to wear and of course i got the one with the beard ha ha ha.

The dinner and a few glasses of wine all went down very well with everyone and we all had a really good night. All in all it was a really good weekend spent it with friends, family and neighbours and we all had the best craic for this year St.Patrick's Weekend.

TROPICA ASIAN CUISINE

Last Friday night myself,my sister and dad along with his partner Marie we all headed out for a bite to eat. I purchased two vouchers a while back for the Tropica Asian Cuisine restaurant in Dalkey both for 19 euro. It was a voucher for 2 people and all you can eat buffet!! But its not what you think as you'll read on. Me and my sister drove out to pick up my dad and Marie as i was in work the next day i made the decision to pick them up along the way. I also wanted my dad and Marie and sister to have a drink with their meal and enjoy the night,so i was the designated driver for the night,H2o for me.

When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff at the door. A member of staff show us to our round table at the window which was nice. After telling them we had the vouchers he explained to us how it worked he gave us a menu and then told us that we could choose up to six starters and six main courses. All we had to do was tick the boxes on the menu on the ones we wanted and also needed to tick if you wanted meat and the quantity of each dishes. When we picked our starters which were all different the menu was brought to the kitchen. I went with the shredded crispy chicken,my dad had a crispy duck spring roll,Marie had the sweetcorn soup and Sarah went with the shredded crispy prawn and of course we had to choose two more which was chicken wings and crispy won tons. After all that we were starting to feel a bit stuffed.

But we moved on and picked out our main courses as from the very first picture that is what myself and my sister ordered. My dad went with a Thai green curry as you can see above he was really enjoying it,Marie went with a beef and cashew nuts and both had fried rice with their meal. Guys everything was delicious and i was worried i had to be rolled outta Tropica after that meal. It was a really good voucher because i wasn't sure on what way the buffet part was going to be and how the voucher was going to work but i have to say I'm glad i picked it up for the price it was :)).

Anyone try Tropica yet!!

PIZZA AND COCKTAIL NIGHT

So beauties over the weekend my sister held a pizza and cocktail party. It was a night for her birthday and have to say it was a really good night and all the girls that turned up all enjoyed it too. The night was held because my sister felt people would save on the funds and decided not to go out for it. Its great to round up the girls and throw this in your house. Its definitely not breaking your piggy bank as I'm sure you'd have half the ingredients in your fridge to throw together your pizza party.

Before the girls came over my sister got the dough ready as she made it from scratch. She was sent the recipe from a friend and it was from the Milano website. The dough covered for up to 8 people. When we all got our rolled out piece we went and chose our toppings which we laid out in bowls on our counter. We had mushrooms, onions, all different cheeses, peppers, herbs what ever was in the fridge we used.

Guys all the pizza's that were made we all shared them out between us and they were all delicious,I'm not just saying it ;),it was nom, nom, nom!. The chosen cocktail for the night was Mojito they were pre-made and bought from Lidl,so i just poured them in to our fancy liquid decanter and filled it up with ice and mint leaves. Their was no complaints from anyone because we all enjoyed it and definitely going to be doing it again :)).

So beauties would you hold a pizza and cocktail party!!!

ARGAN OIL SHAMPOO

Hey beauties, here is my piece on my shampoo of the moment Argan Oil :). A few weeks back i popped down to my local chemist in Taylor's Lane for a little browse and to see what little bargain treat I'd come across on their shelves. My eyes were quickly brought to the attention of a brown 250 ml bottle of Argan oil shampoo with Moroccan argan oil extract for only 1.99,happy days. This might not be to everyone liking but to me it did what it said on the bottle.

Firstly what is Argan oil!!!Its a plant oil produced from the kernels of the Argan tree that is endemic to Morocco. Its used for nutritive and cosmetic properties.

Secondly what does the bottle say it nourishes and moisturises leaving hair shiny, smooth and healthy and i found it did all that for me. I just feel my hair is getting back to its full healthiness now again as i find my hair is full and has some life back into it. I do get people asking me what have i done to my hair and that my hair looks different,i just simply say nothing i'm just washing my hair with Argan oil shampoo ;)). I need another bottle as i have ran out of my bottle so I'll pick up another one soon. I used it whenever i had a shower and i just washed my hair once with a nice big amount of the shampoo into my hand but you can repeat this if you want. Its not only in the shampoo, you can pick up the conditioner as well and its also available in a oil too. Happy washing the locks :)))

Have you tried Argan Oil yet!!Is it for you and your hair :))
