LORDE FOR MAC

A few weeks back i stuck up a picture of Lorde on facebook saying she's designing a collection with the one and only make-up brand MAC. So here it is :). The first look from the New Zealand based singer-songwriter collection. The Royals singer is showing off her limited edition plum lipstick and black liquid eyeliner.

The image above you can see Lorde is wearing her signature dark lip named Pure Heroine,she's also sported a very extended cat- eye. But we need to be fast as the range comes out on June 5,and its only around until July 3 (that's if they stay on the shelves for that long). Remember RiRi just saying!

MY TOP 5 FOR PREPARING YOURSELF FOR SUMMER

Gone are the dark days,the bitter coldness in the air and wrapping up like an onion with layers upon layers of clothing. I can safely say the woollen scarves,hats, and gloves that were keeping us warm from the elements of winter are stuffed back into the good old wardrobe for the time being. I can finally say we can start pulling out our colourful summer dresses along with the rest of our summer clobber. Doesn't it look great when you see that hanging in your wardrobe. Guys, with summer around the corner we do have to banish all traces of the winter months,so here are my top 5 to getting yourself prepared for the summer months :

Defuzz we all have that unwanted hair: We've been cooped up for months wearing our plain jane trousers and our very thick Penneys tights, and now we can finally free ourselves of those garments and see what has materialized beneath them. With having dark coarse hair, I myself call my legs "The forest" duh duh duh and it's very unpleasant and shocking seeing my legs like that. Between our legs,underarms and bikini lines, to be honest a pain in the ass, but it's got to be done if you wanna be looking gawgus for the summer months. You need to get on to your nearest beautician and book that appointment. Banish all that unwanted hair!

Spruce up your summer spritz: Soon in work our perfume cabinets are going to be overflowing with new sweet summer flowery smells and cool sea water senses. This is a good time to update with a new summer spritz an add a new glitzy bottle to your collection. I'll have to keep you posted on that one guys :)

Some loving for your toes: Another part of our body that doesn't get much of a look in is our poor feet. I'm not going to lie, one is not a fan of feet, but with sandal season just around the corner we have to make an exception. While were sprucing and brucing ourselves you need to give the feety some loving too. What does that call for? Yep, a pedicure. Be on trend with some pastel colours and nail art because we want the toes looking like a million dollars baby while rocking your latest pair of sandals.

Looking after the body:  We all want to be looking lean,mean like rocket machines for the summer months but unfortunately we gotta work for it. It's not all easy peasy lemon squeezey as we need to involve a little thing called exercise,eating health and drinking plenty of water. I'm joey from friends,I love my food and if anyone touches it I'm not happy, but with a bit of determination and cutting out some things i can happily say I've lost a stone. I haven't stopped all together though i do have a treat day. Good on ya gal :))

Updating the wardrobe: Our summer treads mean cute little summer flowy dresses,floral and graphic garments,bright colourful pieces and our itsy bitsy shorts. Well that's what summer is all about showing that you do have legs and arms so show them off. Summer is all about being playful and adventurous with your style that's why your buying the items in the first place. Maybe you still have items from last year that didn't even see the light of day, why not get wearing them this time around no one will even know. That has happened to me i come across a few pairs of shorts and tops hidden away in a drawer that i never even got a look in. I've pulled them out and there just waiting to be worn.

DONNA AIR LITTLE BIRD COLLECTION

Donna Air has really grown since her Byker Grove days. The blonde socialite beauty has partnered up with QVC to launch her new Jewellery line. The collection called Little Bird, includes stackable rings, elegant charms and delicate earrings. Each piece from the collection is 9ct yellow gold.

As how Donna came up with the name she said "Little Bird is what my friends have always called me, seeing as I'm quite petite, I've always loved tassels too so for me the earrings are the sexiest piece in the line. They're lovely for the evenings".

GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER

Before leaving work on Friday night i picked up my beauty buy of the week. Its none either than a 400ml bottle of Micellar cleansing water from Garnier. I noticed for the past week that the shelf in work had to be re stocked every day of this item. It was just selling out all the time.

I'm not surprised with the price tag of 3.29,its a steal. I was delighted as i was able to pay with my Boots Advantage Card. You can use it for your face, eyes, lips there no perfume,its even for sensitive skin. Just for the moment i won't be using it as I'm already using beauty products for cleansing. I will say I'm really looking forward to using it as I've been hearing really good things about it.

LOUGHCREW GARDENS

My mam and me had a Thelma and Louise moment as we took a little road trip about two weeks back. Happy to say we arrived back in one piece. We popped down to LoughCrew Gardens the reason for this was part of a Mother's Day present. Again i came across a voucher for this. It was for an Afternoon Tea and a trip around the gardens in LoughCrew all for 17 euro. Our journey down was an hour and a half i popped on the radio to pass the time. Thinking we're the next Christina Aguilera we had a singalong to the songs that were playing. Where's that X-factor ha ha.

We finally arrived at our destination when i pulled in to the grounds i looked over to see a lovely wooden building. Straight away i noticed it was very clean inside and out. The lady that served us and also told us a little about the place was very pleasant. We sat in the side conservatory with a view to how vast the garden trail is. Straight away we were giving our Afternoon tea which consisted of filled sandwiches with ham and cheese and turkey and salad. Our sweet treats were a mixture of muffins,cupcakes,a flapjack and some apple tart. Then we were given a scone with jam and cream,yummy!

The gardens are on historic grounds of the Plunkett family and its where St. Oliver Plunkett was born. It was so nice just walking around taking our time and it was so peaceful. Got to see a bit of wildlife too. We had a map to show us the route of the gardens and what to look forward to seen on our walk. There are 19 sights to see, Statue of Alice, Fairy Rockery, Mercury Gate all a joy to see. The gardens also have an Adventure Park a lot to be kept busy. 

The day we went the weather wasn't really great and eventually started raining. We seen as much as we could but made the decision to head home. It was 17 euro well spent and i also learnt a bit of history especially on a Monday after the weekend :)). 

LUCY WATSON THE NEW FACE OF LIPSY

Love her or hate her Lucy Watson is fast becoming a star in her own right. I've actually loved her since her first appearance in the reality hit show Made in Chelsea. As well as the face for PETA campaign the reality star can now add Lipsy VIP to that list,go on ya posh hottie. The pictures below are from the latest Lipsy campaign Lucy is seen posing with a horse in the countryside wearing a gown from the range.

She's fronting the high street label's new capsule collection of glamorous party dresses at a budget price. "I so excited to be modelling Lipsy's new season VIP collection the range of dresses will make every girl feel and look her best" Lucy said.

"The brand always makes such great evening wear and I love the exclusivity of the Lipsy VIP collection - all of the dresses would be perfect for any red carpet!". The collection includes floor-length embellished gowns with thigh-high splits, flared tulle prom dresses and cute summer pieces. 

Lucy is following in the footsteps of Millie Mackintosh,Pixie Lott and Alex Gerrard,who have all fronted campaigns for the brand. The range of dresses will appear in Lipsy stores in June.

ADAM LEVINE WOMEN'S CLOTHING LINE FOR KMART

Who would of thought that the sexist man alive and front man of the popular male band Maroon 5 would have brought out a clothing line for the women and it's available in Kmart. Well Adam Levine has along with his fiance Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo. The singer already had a successful menswear line with Kmart last year and made the decision to bring a womenswear line back to it.

Looking at the picture above the clothes seems to be your everyday wear and cheap and cheerful. The collection includes casual printed t-shirts,mini crop tops,jean shorts and pattered maxi dresses. The clothes are "ideally what you want to see, I guess selfishly,on a lady" Adam said. 

The singer hasn't any experience in the womanswear arena but he's not worried " I don't know how to read music,but i can still play. You don't have to be trained in everything to be good at it" Adam said at the event for his latest collection at Kmart on the 17th of April. Have we any Maroon 5 fans? If this was available here would you pick up some of the pieces!!

MY BIRTHDAY

Back on the 23rd of March it was my Birthday :)). I decided not to go to Ott this year and just have a more relaxing one with the main family and plus wasn't hundred percent either. This year my birthday fell on Sunday i was able to spend a bit of time with my dad on Friday an then on the actual day Sunday it was spent with my mam and sister.

Before i got sick it was arranged that my sister and myself would go and spend the night over with my dad and his girlfriend to have a Chinese and a few drinks. When we left i was still in my pj's as i simply had no energy so what i did was i changed over my pj's and left like that. After the meal was done and dusted we went into the sitting room and while i was sitting there my dad and Marie popped out to the kitchen to get me my surprise meringue cake. I was delighted and shocked to receive it as i  felt like crap and it cheered me right up. Never go wrong with a bit of a sweet treat. Saturday morning after leaving the house i headed straight back to bed,how exciting!! Thanks dad and Maire for that :)) xx.

Sunday the actual day for me, the birthday Gurl,  i was happy to receive presents as anyone is ;). What i got from my dad and Marie was spending money for Berlin which was happening the following weekend. My sister got creative and drew up my present. It's a ticket for Longitude that is happening in the summer and she wanted me to choose what ticket i wanted a one day,two day or the whole weekend. At the moment were just going with Saturday and Sunday but that could change. From my mam a new skull coin for my Mi-Moneda chain and vouchers for new DVDs and new music which i love because you always need new tunes. Ta guys loved them all :)).

What did the day in tail well i had a voucher for ThunderRoad Cafe in Temple Bar so that is what we did. My mam,sister and i headed in there. I purchased a voucher a while back from Living Social which i nearly forgot about it was a 60 euro voucher to spend on food and drinks and i got it for 29 euro. The place was mental but the only problem i had was I booked the table on Friday and when i went to give my name it wasn't on the list when we arrived,so we had to wait for a table but we weren't waiting too long though. While sitting at the table we got a starter of ribs and shared them among ourselves,very enjoyable. While we were waiting on our main meal i ordered a Cosmopolitan and my mam a Jack Daniels and coke while my sister was on the water. 

As you can see by the picture above i ordered the chicken fajita and it was huge my poor little belly couldn't fit it all in. My mam went with fish and chips while my sister chose a steak sandwich. The portions are huge guys just beware, not that that's a bad thing. My mam is a sweet tooth person, of course she had to order a dessert while my sister and i had a coffee. When the bill came i was happy to say we just had to put 20 euro towards it. That's how i spent my birthday weekend :)).

Outfit for that day was a midi printed dress from New Look that was 7 euro. Black tights and black boots both from Penneys.

UNA FODEN FOR REEBOK

Well talk about a opportunity missed yesterday :((. This gal was only 10 minutes from my life,sniff,sniff. I'll carry on though because you gotta. Here it is this Irish,one fifth of a pop girl group,a mother,wife and the list goes on and now Una Foden is the new face of Reebok. Where do they find the time! As i was scrolling through Instagram last night and came across all of Una posts about it. I got me Beautiful Beauties senses on it and wanted to know more.

The Thurles native was home to unveil her new spring/summer collection for Lifestyle Sports yesterday in none other than Dundrum Town Centre (must carry on). Una arrived at the event modelling some of the pieces from the sporty range. She wore a pink printed hoodie with blue leggings. The singer and her mini me are home for the Easter and to enjoy the rest of the week."I always love coming home so it's nice to be back for the holidays and spend time home with my friends and family.

DAVID BECKHAM H&M CAMPAIGN

When the photos of Mr.Beckham in his shorts and nothing more than that came across Beautiful Beauties headquarter i had to investigate this a little bit more and here is what i came across. But first what more can i say about David Beckham!! Well we can now add one more thing to his list of already been a sex god,cool father,ex-footballer,husband,doing his bit for charity,model etc etc. Now add fashion designer to it as David only gone and designed a range of swimwear. Now your interested ;)

David has recently unveiled pictures of himself wearing speedos and swim trunks as part of his H&M Bodywear line for the giant clothing brand. "The success of my Bodywear collection at H&M has been fantastic so I'm thrilled to been introducing these great swimwear pieces ready for the summer,"David said in a press release.

I know we can't have the real thing,bummer. Maybe this is the next best thing why not pick up a pair for the man in your life and just dream that it's David Beckham ha ha. The launch of the swimwear range is in stores the 22nd of May. Good luck Goldenballs I'm sure it'll be another major hit with all your fans. We sure like what we've seen so far here at Beautiful Beauties :))).

VICTORIA'S SECRET SHOW IS HEADING TO LONDON

UPDATE:

With the show creeping in so quickly i can give you an update on the biggest show to head over to London on December 9th,eeekkkkkk! The Victoria's Secret models are getting fitted for the famous wings and the musical guest going to be singing their little hearts out too at the show are Hozier,Ed Sheeran,Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande,lucky ducky. Wonder is there any tickets left. Here's a sneak peek at the models trying on their wings :)

Ah Londaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan aren't you's lucky suckers for getting this. This would be a dream no? Sitting front row at one of the most spectacular and biggest catwalk show of the year. It's the one and only Victoria's Secret Show I'll pick my jaw back up off the floor ha ha. Adrina Lima and Candice Swanepoel made an appearance at their lingerie brand's Bond Street store on Tuesday morning and that is where they revealed they were taking the show to London from there regular base in New York City to the capital at Earls Court on December 9.

Even though its across the pond i won't get myself too excited. Adrina said 'We're very proud to announce that we're heading to London this year. 'The Victoria's Secret Show is the biggest fashion show in the world, for sure, so it will be amazing to bring the show to London. I love it here. especially the shopping!'. Cara Delevingne has been told to save the date in her diary as she'll take to the stage for the third time and it'll be even more special because its in her hometown. Prince Harry will also have a front seat if he wanted it,the Angels said,for the show which will be the brand's biggest ever - in front of a audience of almost 3,000 to there 1,000. It would be a dream but maybe the Angels could do a quick stop in Dublin ;)

HAIRSTYLES FOR THE FESTIVAL SEASON

Apart from the fashion its also about the hairstyles at the music festivals and from what i seen from Coachella it didn't disappoint. As i said before the season has well and truly kicked off. That gave me an idea to check out some of the latest hairstyles for you to rock for all the up and coming music festivals that are heading our way pretty soon :)).

1. Loose beach wave look with a flower head piece : If you rather keep your hair down and do the beach wave look this will never let you down. There are many ways of doing this look from your curling tongs to a homemade beach spray its a hairstyle that is so ease to do. Then you just have to grab yourself a flower head piece and pop it on your head.

2. Why not showcase your newly dyed hair : Katy Perry and Vanessa Hudgens both decided to do this. Vanessa showcased her newly dyed blonde look at Coachella while Katy decided to show off her slime green for spring look.

3. Messy styles : Its all in the name Messy that means it doesn't have to be 100% perfect. As you can see from the two pictures below of the messy bun and side plait gathered at the side they are untidy but are still giving you a great style.

4. Dip-dye or chalk your hair up : The ombre look is still around so if your hair is like this at the moment keep it or maybe you just need to top your colour up well chop chop get to it. If your not that brave to actually dip-dye your hair. Well why not try colour chalk it will simply colour the bottom half of your hair still giving you that ombre look and all the while it is easily washed out of your hair.

5. Plaited Dos : You can never go wrong with a couple of plaits in your hair another do that is very festival. Just select a couple strays of your hair and make little plaits then you just bring it all together to make a style like the picture below. 

6. Add items to your hair : Why not stick items in your hair from the pictures below it really gives you that festival feel. Why not try feathers,individual flower pieces or maybe even head jewellery to rock at the concert your attending. It never fails :)

COACHELLA 2014

Well the festival season has truly kicked off with the very first major one to get off the ground this weekend and of course there will be many more to follow for me to keep ya's all updated on, from who attended and of course the most important one of all the fashion. With the summer months just around the corner we can look upon the pictures to get some fashion inspiration if yous are lucky enough to be heading to any of our very own music festivals here in good old Ireland. I'll be heading to a few myself, so I'd like to keep on trend and add something new to my festival look,so I'll definitely be taking a few notes from this.

Right what am i talking about is COACHELLA 2014 of course.If you don't know about this festival then i don't know what to say ha ha but here is a heads up. It runs from the 11th of April to the 18th spread over two weekends. Where is it you may ask, The Empire Polo Club in Indio,Calfornia,located in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. Definitely a dream to get over there and enjoy the tunes,sunshine and among other things. Sat here last year and told myself  i would love to be there the next time unfortunately that year is here and still dreaming of getting over there,so maybe next year ;)).

Every festival lady knows by now the true key pieces and you should also know anything goes when your heading to a music festival. If any of my beauties are first timer here's a few helpful tips. Firstly you'll be glad to know is you can leave the killer heels at home ha ha. We can let the old feet have a breather why not throw on a pair of converse,sandals (if the weather is good) or a pair of ankle boots but in previous years we've had to throw on the good old wellies. Shorts for me are a key piece whether there denim,lace,floral or leather we all have a pair in our wardrobe pull them out and dust them off and get them all ready for either Kanye/Pharrell,Longitude,Arctic Monkeys or to which ever concert your lucky to be heading to this summer most important part is get your legs prepared for it. T-shirt,crop tops or crochet tops are also a big festival party goer look team them up with your choice of shorts.

Looking at the pictures I've stuck up of Ellie,Vanessa and Kendell their all showing us how to rock the body jewels for your forehead and I'm loving it maybe I'll add that look for when I'm heading to Arctic Monkeys ;). Hats,sunglasses and flower head pieces are all still a favourite at any music festival you'll definitely be on trend with those looks. Writing this piece is getting me all excited for the many concerts that are playing in Marley Park. I've booked a couple of the weekend off from work for them because i wasn't missing any of them this year. Plus couldn't really say no when there only up the road from me,wowzer. Anyone heading along to see any of the concert? Fingers cross beauties the weather will also be nice for us. Hope you enjoy the piece everyone :)))
