BACK FROM BERLIN

What a crazy weekend that was in Berlin. Its taking me a few days to get myself back to normal ha ha ha. Six of us headed over for a Birthday bonanza weekend from Friday morning to Sunday night. Our flight was at 7.30 in the morning and we were flying with Aer Lingus. The flight was two hours over so it meant we had the whole day on Friday there and it was not wasted one bit. A couple of photos so enjoy :)).

WEEKEND SHENANIGANS

Happy Tuesday folks,

What another weekend of craziness. Hanging with the girls on Friday night,Arctic Monkeys on Saturday an then off out on Sunday to meet my Dad,Marie and my nanny for a bite to eat. My sister and me popped up the road to the girls on Friday night to have major chats, drinking a little vino, music in the background, munching on and enjoying the treats Doritos,Pringles and Salted Peanuts what a spread from the girls. Not good on the stomach though but you gotta enjoy life too ;)).

Then Saturday rolled around and it was off to see the Arctic Monkeys up in Marley Park. I got these tickets as a birthday present for Sarah as i said before my sister is more into the indie rock scene,so i thought she'd really enjoy these more for a present. I wasn't letting any of these concerts slip through my fingers this year. Made it my mission to get days off work and to enjoy them this summer as last year I missed all of them. The weather wasn't great so our raincoats went on and kept on for the whole night. So handy walking up and down the road for these concerts. This weekend is the last of the concerts with Longitude waiting in the wings to kick off. This one is for the whole weekend I'm really looking forward to seen whats on offer. This time the transport was a lot better for the people heading home from the concert. While walking down the hill from the park there were a lot more public buses which was great to see and it was much nearer for people to hop on instead of walking miles to get a bus.

Sunday time and feeding time ha ha. A lovely meet up was had with my dad,Marie and nanny. My sister and i popped over to meet up with them in The Mill House. My nanny really likes this place and really enjoys what she gets especially her little treat the meringue. There is a bit of a change happening at the moment with this place. The main part where we used to go in an have a seat has now been transformed into a Bistro. Not to worry we just had to pop next door in to the lounge which is part of the pub. When i was to pick something from the menu nothing major jumped out at me. In the end i finally went with the Battered Cod with a side of puree peas which was really enjoyable. My Little treat was Apple and Cinnamon Crumble with a vanilla pod custard and cream don't know how i ate it all but i did lol. One thing i will say is i loved the presentation of the way my dessert came out. Served in a little pot to keep it warm i wanted to run away with it but didn't of course. That is what i got up to over the weekend. I hope you enjoy reading about my shenanigans :))).

ECOTOOLS BRUSHES

Ever felt like your always searching for that one perfect make-up brush brand. Well i have and now i think i have finally found the one to suit me. What's the brand......Welcome into my life Ecotools. I first heard of Ecotools Brushes back when they were featured on Xpose since then i have been picking up a brush here and there. Finally i was able to add a few more to my collection. My Boots store only has a selected few brushes from the range that gave me an opportunity to pop over to Dundrum shopping centre to look an see what they have in the Ecotools collection. Why am i liking this brand of brush! Well I'm loving the feel you get from the brushes bristle they are so soft and flexible on your skin that your not getting any of that harsh wiry feeling. Your foundation and eye shadows are spread easily across your face and eyes. The brand is also made from recycled materials that also makes me feel good known their earth-friendly.

The brushes are sold separately which i think is great cos i feel with this your actually going to use the brushes you buy and also your not under any pressure to splash the cash. I hate buying big packs of brushes and your left looking at half of them an they are left sitting in your make-up pot not been used. With the brushes I've got my hands on they are been used daily in my make-up routine and i like that. Ecotools are definitely a good brand of brush to pick up an add to your beauty bag this summer :)).

"Ecotools is a leader in Eco-conscious beauty products, most notably known for its incredibly soft cosmetic brushes. They are inspired by beauty inside and out and in the world around us. Looking beautiful and living beautifully  is what Ecotools is all about! They are known for their incredibly soft 100 % cruelty-free bamboo handled cosmetic brushes and have since advanced the line to bring the fans their favourite bath, spa and lash products to amplify our beauty routine!"

ARCADE FIRE MARLEY PARK

Arcade Fire happened on Sunday my little beauties. What a thrilling show it was it's all happening up in Marley Park at the moment. It's the start of all the music festivities kanye West just played the other night and next up tonight would you believe is Kings of Leon. I really in truly enjoyed this gig as i haven't heard much about this band. My sister seems to be the one more into indie rock but it was a super Sunday well spent together. I said before Marley park is only up the road from me so its very handy. Finally time to leave the house when walking up we made a pit stop into The Eden pub to meet up with a few more people we knew.

We finally walked over to the park on entering the grounds the crowd grew to get into the gig but we weren't waiting long in the line. Heineken were the main sponsor for this gig. Again you had a lot of food stations, the ATM van was there again. One thing i will say is the queues for the ladies toilets and the food stations were unbelieveable but that's bound to happen at things like this. Transport to the event an back well it's not great either you need to walk at least a half hour or so to get a bus or a taxi. We just got in on time to see the end of The Pixie set unfortunately the lead singer guitar died on him that put a stop to their set. They finished up and made way for the main headliner the Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire.

The lights went dim the music started to play an walks out the band with giant heads on with the sounds of U2 'The Streets Have No Name' blaring which was a little surprising but to me i reckon the band knew what they were doing by paying homage to one of the greatest bands around and hitting us in our little Irish hearts with this great gesture. The set was brilliant we were kept going and dancing with great vibes never a dull moment. We knew the show was coming to an end when one of the songs they played confetti was blown into the air and that's a sure sign the fun is over, boohoo. Not once did we look at our watches an say when is this over. I love that cos that shows your money has been well spent on a ticket and to still hear people talking about it when leaving the venue while walking down the road.

When the gig ended it was Sinead O' Connor turn with the giant head an their paying homage to her, class. Arcade Fire is definitely a band to watch out for this summer. So far my summer is looking good can't really say much about the weather but still we won't let it ruin our fun.

My look for the gig: A blue fringe studded top from Penneys
A black skater skirt from River Island
Katy Perry Prism bracelet
Black Tights
Biker Boots

My make-up look: No.7 Lip Crayon Daydreamer
Gosh Green Boost Eyeliner
Seventeen Pink Eye brightener
L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara

We're you at Arcade fire? What did you think of the gig?
