TOP 5 TIPS FROM DICK PAGE ON CHANGING UP YOUR MAKE-UP

Ever feel like your stuck in a rut with your make-up!!Well fear not as here is Dick Page 5 helpful tips to help you out with that. "Changing one element in your wardrobe brings new meaning to the rest of your clothes and it's the same with make-up." Dick who hails from England got his big break in the early 90's for a Calvin Klein show. Since then he has gone from strength to strength as he's the artistic director of Shiseido since March 2007 and working on shows such as Hermes/Celine/Michael Kors 2015. So we'll trust the helpful tips ;)

1 Be Reductive

"Women tend to end up with make-up crutches - things they do as a matter of course without actually thinking about why they do them, says Page."Break up your routine by leaving something off for example, don't wear mascara or use a lip pencil or eyeliner one day. Rather than actively changing something, delete it to change the way you look."

2 Try A New Texture

"If you're to chicken for tip number one do your regular make-up but change the formula, change the materials. So if you're a powder blush kind of girl, use a cream formula. It changes the texture, and the feel of the skin. It also affects the way light hits the face."

3 Mix Up Your Routine

"Do your make-up in a different order. People tend to prep the skin then go to foundation, concealer, eyeliner, and so forth. Change it up:start with the cheek or the lip instead. See how it affects your face differently."

4 Tweak Your Color Palette

"It's easy to add color to your make-up without totally changing it. Swap out a brown liner for indigo or violet. It's not a huge change but it gives you a little bit of a lift."

5 Let Your Skin Shine

"I think highlights are underused. A little bit of gold added to your regular make-up helps it pop. A metallic cream shadow- even from a theatrical supply store- can also be used on top of your lip, bridge of your nose, inner corner of your eye,and brow bone (to flatter the skin). You don't have to go disco ball about it,it can just add more light."

ISA DORA COLOR CORRECTING CONCEALER REVIEW

Happy Monday Bubbleheads :)

Isa Dora Anti-Redness Color Correcting Concealer
€21.25

Here's my little review on Isa Dora color correcting concealer. I was lucky enough to get this product among other Isa Dora beauty products from my itwbn goodie bag. Since that event i haven't put this concealer down. Personally that's a good sign from me. Isa Dora is a Swedish based make-up brand sold at affordable prices and at the highest quality. I haven't really heard much of Isa Dora but i couldn't wait to try-out the beauty products i got from them.

Straight away i loved the packaging. It's a simple black circular compact, divided into four parts containing the highlighter, dark circles,anti-redness and concealer. When you shut the lid each part is worded clearly in silver writing. Also on the back of the product is a small diagram of where you should be putting each part of the product onto your face. This product is available in 3 different colours. You have the neutral,anti-dullness and anti-redness. I was lucky enough to receive two out of three colours from this range. I seem to use the anti-redness product a little bit more than my neutral one.

Bubbles Feedback:

I love the fact that all the colours blend in well onto my skin (not everyone will get the same result) and I've never noticed it coming through my make-up. I love the silky smooth creamy feeling you get from it. When i apply it to my face it's so light it just glides onto the area's I'm putting it on. I never get that feeling of real heaviness or cakey overload from this product. Sometimes when I'm not feeling a full on make-up look i just use the highlighter part. I rub it all over the base of my eyes because it has that shimmery look that you can easily pull it off as an eyeshadow. That's my little review hope you enjoy reading it. Have a great day today :)

Has anyone used Isa Dora before? What do we think as a brand!?!

Here is a couple of make-up looks I've done on myself over the past few weeks. Below is a simple look i did using two products from the newest make-up brand around. I was lucky enough to get these Wet and Wild make-up products in a goodie bag from Into The West Blogger Network event. Look at the length of that eye pencil! This look was done after i headed home from work on a Wednesday night. I was just checking out the products when i turned it into a look. I simply ran the eyeliner over the tops of my eyelids and underneath and with my finger I just blended it all together over my eyes.

MY TRIP BACK TO GALWAY

Happy Monday Bubbleheads!

I made my way back to Galway for an overnight night stay last Tuesday. I was attending a Galway hour/gourmet tasting meal in An Pucan on Forester Street off Eyre Square. This time i made the journey by train from Heuston Station in town. How exciting haven't been on a train in years and my have they changed. Wifi, plugs to plug in electronics, very impressed! Also great seen all the Irish scenery all the sheeps with their baby lambs, horses and some of the lovely greenery covered in snow. Two an a half hours later the train pulled into the station and I'm happy to say that the walk to the hotel wasn't far approximately 5 minutes.

I booked the hotel on the same road as to where An Pucan was but i didn't realise they were actually across the road from each other, nice right! The hotel i chosen was Forester Court Hotel i did this through Booking.com. I was greeted by a lovely lady clerk who checked me in and told me where the room was. It was comfy, cosy, very clean and had all the essentials you needed. I loved the colour scheme of the room purple and gold. The gold chairs were amazing if i could i would of ran away with them ;).

(sorry about the picture the battery on my phone was about to go)

Had a few hours to spare and decided to take a walk around but the weather changed an it started raining, also my stomach was rumbling that made me head for somewhere to have a small bite to eat. While sitting there I asked was there a shopping centre around and I was pleasantly told just a little further down the road. Made my way there just for a quick snoop and came across Penneys. I didn't get much apart from a couple of NYC cosmetics and pj bottoms for 3 euro. Eventually i had to make my way back to the hotel and got myself ready for the night.

I won this prize at Into the West Blogger Network event that was held in the Radisson blu in Galway.  How nice my first ever event and i win a prize :). It was not just myself but it was also 6 other bloggers that got the chance to try some of AN Pucan tasty meals from the menu. While walking in i was a little bit nervous but then i recognise some of the other bloggers from the last event and i was a little bit relieved. I got to know the girls a little better and even got to meet Sinead from Yummy Mummy. I started taking a couple of snaps from the event then the chef came over and introduced himself and we kicked off the tasting. With the tasting we just tried samples of each of the delicious meals from the menu. Chef Tom Joyce gave us a great run down of information on each plate we got a sample from. How it was cooked, what was us to cook it and where their fish and meat is supplied from. It's great to know that everything is locally sourced.

Potato/Chorizo/Prawn Salad

Fried battered oysters

Their menu also features some healthier options you can't say no to the chorizo/potato/ king prawn salad, delicious. My favourite tasty treats from the night were their Chicken wings, fish finger burger and buttermilk chicken flatbread. We got to try some whiskey again this was my first time trying this! Teeling,Jameson and Tullamore Dew were all on display at the bar. Again barman Eoin had great knowledge on this as he was telling us which whiskey would suit with which foods. All in all i had a great time, everyone was great, the event was great and I'm sure it's not the last i see of Galway. Hope you enjoy the piece :)
