SKIING IN AUSTRIA

Hi,

Hope everyone had a great weekend?

Apres ski in Saalbach,oh where do i start! It feels so long ago now but it was the best week ever. Saturday morning we got up an headed to Dublin airport. As you know when getting yourself to the airport you have that hustle and bustle of getting through the gates. When we we're finally through the first place i was going to was straight for the duty free to get my hands on some urban decay products. Finally i got my hands on their weightless ultra definition liquid foundation, happy days! I haven't stopped using it since i bought it. Before we knew it we were heading to the boarding gates for our flight. It was smooth sailing all the way into Salzburg.

When we got our bags we found our transport we booked ourselves to take us to the apartment in which we were staying at. We had another 1 hour an 40 mins journey but that didn't bother us as the scenery on our route was stunning. As we finally got settled into the apartment we decided on what was next as we didn't have any skiing planned until Monday. We chose to head into the town which was approx 15 minutes when we discovered the short cut. We walked in and up the town as all the pubs, restaurant and sports shops were all on one main strip. We came across a couple of places we stayed in for a bit but sadly headed back home as the tiredness kicked in.

We spent sunday again just walking around the town but this time it was to find the sport shop of where we rented our equipment. Then we went an get our ski passes for just 3 days, we also found the location of where we we're having our ski lessons. We found everything we needed and felt more relaxed about the next day. Off we went and came across a bar Vida that had a really funky vibe to it well they did have a guy with a saxphone. Who could say no to that? We also headed to Schwips for a bop and let me tell you we made up for our boring saturday night. First day of skiing is never good with a hangover!

It's been a couple of year's since my last skiing holiday but straight away i felt everything coming back to me. You never forget! We spent monday hitting the smaller slopes and our instructor giving us pointers and helping us improve on our skiing. By tuesday we we're heading up to the big slopes. Just be aware though i did find there was a bit of lugging of the equipment and a lot of walking to do to get to the many different slopes. With the slopes closing at 4 i did noticed they were very busy which made me a little bit more cautious but in time i'll grow out of that. Eventually i made my way to our meeting point Luis Alms for a bite to eat. Myself stayed while the girls went an done another round on the slopes.

The next few nights were quiet as we stayed in the apartment. It was also very handy as we had a supermarket across the road from us. We stayed in and cooked for ourselves on those nights. More skiing was done and before you know it our week was nearly over. Thursday night we came across an extreme jump show up on one of the slopes, great display of jumps from the skier's, followed by an impressive display of fireworks. This was a really nice touch to end our second last day with but we didn't end the night there as we headed back for the after party in Castello. By friday we needed a pamper day!!When we first arrived at our apartment we discovered the hotel that was beside us had a spa resort, delighted! We simply booked appointments for ourselves to have a beauty treatment done.

Those beauty treatments were definitely the right thing to get because as we noticed the days of walking, carrying the equipment and that bit of partying it really took it's toll on our bodies. We also couldn't go crazy on the friday night due to our flight been very early on saturday morning. Which was great as it mean't no hanging around the apartment and watching the clock tick by when you are just dying to get back home. Saalbach was a great adventure and hopefully one day again i will head back and see a different part of Austria. I also want to make this a tradition to do skiing more every year but to throw a different destinations into the mix. Where to next? Who knows ;)

Hope you enjoy the piece!

STEAL HER STYLE ELLA EYRE

What else would you be doing on a Saturday? I'm sitting here working on a few blog post and i've decided to put together another steal her style look. Ella Eyre is fast becoming a little funky style queen. From rocking cool threads to showing us how to rock the comfy style with ease this gal has it. This is why i fell in love with this look the singer wore a few weeks back to the elle style awards.

The gorgeous white co-ord outfit from Italian house ermanno scervino for ss16 really suited her and look at those gold jimmy choo pumps,to die for! Sadly though this look is unavailable to get online and certainly out of my depth if i was to purchase it. Aw well let's go looking for a slightly cheaper co-ord outfit :)

Short sleeve crochet co-ord outfit is €60.00

NEW KICKS IN NEW BALANCE TRAINERS

Happy Tuesday,

Looking for some inspiration for some new kicks!

After i discovered this picture of these gorgeous pair of metallic new balance trainers i knew that these were my next set of kicks to have. The only thing is that what you see and fall in love with online might mean not getting the exact same pair here. Yesterday i spent a bit of time looking online and actually going to a few stores to see what was available. After having no luck yesterday today is a new day and fingers cross i might have better luck. I'll search Dublin if i have to to find my perfect pair of new balance trainers. Here's a look at a few more snaps of new balance trainers to get you really jealous.

STRIPES ARE FOR LIFE

Happy Tuesday,

Hope everyone had a great weekend :)

I'm just loving stripes at the moment, anyone else?. Even a few of my favourite celebs have been seen out and about lately wearing nothing but the stripe trend. Whether it's a horizontal stripe or diagonal stripe it's really a good number to have in the closet.

I'm actually on a overload stripe crusade at the moment as I've recently purchased another stripe piece in the form of a blush stripe dress from Primark. The other colour available is tan an at a price of 14.00 you certainly can't go wrong. The dress was so comfy and very versatile that it worked well with the rest of my outfit and the reason for me to get the blush dress.

Love a good shirt dress there are certainly plenty available at the moment. Why not search for a less expensive one and style it up like Alexa Chung in the picture above. Cute little ankle boots and a belt to wrap around in the centre.

What about the very simple comfy look? Just pop on a stripe jumper wearing the perfect denim skinny jeans with your over the knee boots.

Why not do a Sienna Miller or Kate Bosworth look simply matching your stripes together. A very cute and sexy look that work well together. I'm definitely loving that look! Hope you enjoy the piece!
