STEP BACK INTO SPRING

Happy hump day bubbleheads!

Spring is in the air even though when you look out you're window it doesn't look like it. I'm heading up to galway next week and that called for a new outfit ;). Scrolling through boohoo website I came across a mint coloured pleated skirt actually came across it awhile back this was my opportunity to get it. I decided a tshirt would look great with the outfit choice I was going for.

Recently seen on some of our favourite female celebs walking the carpet for the Oscars 2015. From Jennifer Aniston in a Versace gown to Zoe Saldana pale pink Atelier Versace gown these soft hues are still bang on trend. That made my think that it was high time we stepped into spring with some of the season freshest pastel clothing piece's. Oh all those lovely pinks, purples, greens and blues,so here are my pick of the bunch:

Boohoo blush crossover chiffon playsuit 20.00

Littlewoods Dolly coat 97.00

COCOA BROWN TAN

Happy Saturday Bubbleheads :)

Hoping that all my bubbleheads out there know the name Cocoa Brown. If not shame on you, shame on you (only joking). If not here is a quick run down it is the number one selling tan and a most in the beauty box. I use this tan when popping out with the girls for a night on the tiles or just to give me a golden glow for a few days. Business woman Marissa Carter career has skyrocketed in the last few years an will continue for sure and you can see why. It's great seeing a Irish business doing so well not just here but all across the globe.

Why love Cocoa Brown?

Cocoa Brown tan is simply a hassle free, easy-peasy spreadable mousse tan. The tan is so light and doesn't smell it just glides onto any part of your body. The packaging is quite girly too done in a hot pink mousse bottle. It's so handy that it can just be thrown on at any time. When I'm lucky enough to pop off anywhere I pop in a bottle or even their little travel size bottle in my suitcase. Just recently it came with me to Galway for my first ever blogger event. Better we got to listen to Kate Kelly a PR from Cocoa Brown and there was a little surprise in our goodie bag. Cocoa brown tough stuff 3 in 1 body scrub of course i was excited! Last summer I didnt use my products as much as i spent the time getting spray tans. There were a lot of events happening I just felt this was quicker and i didnt have to worry about putting tan on myself. It was a life saver of course and surprise, surprise it was Cocoa Brown. This brand I haven't a bad word to say about,Cocoa Brown all the way :). Hope you enjoy the piece and maybe Cocoa Brown will be on your list the next time you are out shopping ;)

MY STAY AT THE RADISSON BLU IN GALWAY

"When opportunities come you're way take them"

Happy Hump Day Bubbleheads :)

What a great day and night I had on Sunday in the radissonhotelgalway.com  for Itbwn blogger event. Getting the chance to meet fellow bloggers from other parts of the country and also getting the chance to listen to speakers in the likes of Siobhan McDonnell of Letzmakeup, cocoabrown.ie Tan PR Kate Kelly,Galway Player,Marika of Online Marketing, and Richie from Beautified who came to the event to give their helpful tips and advice, while some talked about their own ups and downs of blogging.

I arrived just in time to have a quick change of outfits, after that drive in my comfys I didn't really want to stay in them. Before entering the event we we're greeted with a tea or coffee or a beverage.I stuck with having a tea for the moment as the day was still young ;). Then we were told we could enter the room. Upon walking in the room there was an amazing chandelier with pink lighten, cupcakes and macaroons laid out upon tables. Pop-up businesses all along the sides of the room. I had the pleasure of  chatting to Youngblood cosmetic's,cotton-face.com/ vintage clothing and jewels shop, tan organic,Peter Mark and many more. I picked up a couple of bangles that i really like from Cotton-face :).

During the day we had a break to have the chats and nibble on the generous amount of food that was put on the table. We got to chow down on sausages, spring rolls, mini burgers, chicken pieces that also came with sauces. It was back to listening to the rest of the speakers and before you know it the event was over, boohoo. Major thanks go out to Sinead from Yummy Mummy (who couldn't be there on that day) and Siabh from Siabh Egan photography for putting together this wonderful event. This also gave me an excuse to stay overnight in the Radisson Blu Hotel and i can't complain about anything. My room was a grand size for little old me with the bed fit for a queen ;). I was also giving a room on the second floor with a sea view. I truly enjoyed my stay and can't wait to head back to Galway. Which is quite soon as i won a lovely prize at the event for a private gourmet tasting meal which will have 6 other bloggers. Hope you enjoy reading the piece :).

MY TRIP UP TO BELFAST

Hey Bubbleheads,

Happy Monday :)

A while back my sister, myself, dad, marie, along with some other people we knew took a little road trip up to Belfast at the end of last year. I wrote down a list of things i wanted to do through-out that year. One of those was to do the Titanic experience. Well that day finally came in November. I've always had a fascination by the one ship that was deemed unsinkable.

We came across our hotel online called Holiday Inn which i think i can say for everyone as we were only staying for one night it was a good choice of a hotel. Situated in a good spot with in walking distance of pubs, restaurants, the town centre and across the road from us was the BBC station. We didn't realise that night Friday was the taping of the Children in Need show (sadly didn't get to see anyone). After checking in we headed up to our rooms, the room itself was cosy, comfy and i really loved the black wallpaper that was on the wall behind the beds. We had to head for a quick bite to eat cos soon after that we needed to head to the Titanic experience building. That is where Witherspoons comes in. We got talking to one of the waiters to find out about where we needed to go for the Titanic experience. Told us the best thing to do was just to jump in a cab,an that the taxi driver would simply take us there. He took the time to ring one for us which was very nice of him. It came we got in the distance over in the black cab was about 10 mins. If you were walking it i'm guessing a good 20 plus mins.

Guys the Titanic building itself has 5 levels which be looking at it you wouldn't think. One thing get there as early as possible as i didn't know until my sister told me it closed at 5.00pm and i chose the 3 o'clock tour. Check out the website to see if they have different times for different parts of the year. There is also a lot of reading and taking in replicas while you are walking around the experience. Especially if you have someone that is really quite interested in knowing about the titanic. Our tickets again we booked online,so when we arrived at the box office we just had to gave our names and the stewart handed us our tickets. We got there a tiny bit early so naturally we started the tour. Before you go up the stairs, their is a guy that takes funny pictures of you standing in front of a green screen with the help of his computer he'll put up any part of the ship. My sister and me did it he gave us the front of the ship, naturally we did that moment where rose and jack had their arms outstretched standing on the rails saying "i'm flying". After having a few giggles we headed up and started the walk around but it left us short on time to properly look at everything in the experience.

Best parts for me was the shipyard ride you got to sit in and go around in carts to take in the reality of shipbuilding back in the early 1900s. Fitting out as it's called shows you exact replicas of the first, second and third class cabins, also loved the moving journeys through the dining areas, the ship's engine rooms and working interior. To me it felt like you were really there on the ship,it was crazy! While they were my pick of the best bits i did found myself getting a tad bit sad going around the aftermath part of the journey. Reading the letters, reading about people that sadly passed in this event, all in all though i really enjoyed doing the Titanic experience and i wouldn't let that put you off.

When we finished up the experience it was dark outside (it was November after all) we decided to head back to the hotel. We took a little time to sit in the lobby, enjoy a drink and the sweet tunes from a guy with his guitar. After that we got ready and headed over to the Italian restaurant across the road from us. Busy little place and the staff were all really friendly. Then we popped down to Witherspoons for a few social drinks after that back to the hotel. All these places were quite busy which was great to see. The next day Saturday before leaving we decided to do a quick bit of clothes shopping. We walked for about 10 mins which lend us to Victoria Square Shopping Centre (heaven). Picked up a t-shirt from River Island among other bits, again a place to head back up to for a bit of shopping ;). Another thing i was raging spice was that day it was the switching on of the Christmas lights but unfortunately we had to make our journey home :(. Belfast is definitely a place to go and see. I would make sure though to make the next visit a little longer. Hopefully i'll get the chance to do it again this year :))).

Hope you enjoy reading the piece :)

MY SATURDAY NIGHT

Hi Bubbleheads,

Tuesday night sitting here all wrapped up in my cosy house gown being all snug. What better time to give you a quick run down of my night out on Saturday :). January is unfortunately the month we're all left sitting in counting down the days with baited breath for our next pay check to be handed to us. Lets just say i was cooted up in my bed over the Christmas with a bout of sickness,so it meant i didn't get up to much excitement over that period of time. Since then though I've certainly made up for it ;).

I booked myself a night away to Portlaoise Heritage Hotel, bought a few new pieces of clothing, tickets to a blogger event in Galway and of course headed out on a couple of nights for friend's birthday parties. Lots happening to look forward too. I'm just going to say is my poor piggy bank is definitely broken now lol. Back to my Saturday night! I got a lovely text message from one of the girls i used to work with in the shop asking me would i like to head out on Saturday night for her birthday as a late get together. I said yes straight away because i haven't seen this girl for a while and we needed a good catch up. The plans were to meet up in her house have a few, then wait on a bus to bring 12 of us over to The Wright Venue. Happy to say that was another thing on my list crossed off as i wanted to hit up The Wright Venue since last year.

Basically we all got in and just danced the night away really enjoying ourselves and before you knew it the night was over and we all had to head for the bus. Don't you just hate that :P. I'm sure it's not the last time I'll see that place ;)

My Outfit Details: I picked up my orange zip detail dress for 37.00 euro in one of the local shops in the shopping centre i work in. Spent nearly two days looking at it cos i wasn't really sure about it but in the end i got it. The dress itself was very comfy,it had a bit of stretch in the material so you could breath in it. Rings and bracelets i picked up in Penneys wanted to do the stack look. Wore black tights on this night as it was bloody freezing. That was my night out on Saturday hope you enjoy the piece :)
