MY WEEK

Hectic week or what!!It's great to finally sit down, pop the feet up and just chill out for a few hours. That crazy week entailed a wedding, beauty blogger event and you gotta add the good old going to work on top of that list. I wouldn't change it at all. Highlight for me though was getting the opportunity to pop into Upper Pembroke street to attend a beauty blogger event. Of course I was thrilled, I wasn't going to let this slip through my fingers. Who could say no to getting to see the latest autumn/winter make-up trends from two of the well known make-up brands out there,Essence and Catrice cosmetics?!It was great to see and hear about the products before they even hit the shelves. The big smile on my face was only like a kid in a candy shop lol. I will be putting up more detail pieces on the products that I was given in the goody bags. First off that list ,and this is major news,  Essence are launching a new skin care range :o.

My mam and myself took a little trip down to Ferrycarrig hotel in Wexford on Thursday for a night. We we're both invited along with our next door neighbour to attend a friend's wedding. It was a civil ceremony done on the grounds of Johnstown Castle, absolutely fabulous. The photographer for the day was saying the venue was holding two more weddings and then it's closing for two years to get renovated. It is definitely a must see so pop this venue down on the list ;). The whole day was so beautiful and great that everyone truly enjoyed themselves.

WEDDING

It's a nice day for a wedding!! My mam and myself attended my cousin Naomi and her new husband Johns wedding that took part on the grounds of Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort Co.Wicklow. The drive from our house over to the hotel was around 30 to 45 minutes. The journey over we drove through the little village of Blessington which was so cute,blink and you'd miss it! Then the drive around Blessington Lakes was so beautiful i have never seen it before. It was such a gorgeous day the sun was shining,everyone was in high spirits and i felt my dress for the occasion was the right choice :). They made the decision to hold a civil ceremony which I felt was done quite quickly. The one moment i felt in the ceremony that really symbolise the meaning of marriage was the pouring of the three coloured sands into one. It was such a touching moment.

Throughout the day we got to enjoy a ice-cream van that stopped by,we got to take and taste the little bottles of homemade lemonade which were waiting for us in the courtyard. Their was a caricatures in the building and lastly towards the end of the night a photo booth. Such fun was had!!We also got to meet the newest member to the family that day little Aussie baby Cohen,such a cutie pie. He was so good that even mama bear took the time to take care of him. After the ceremony we all had to pop back out to the courtyard to enjoy a glass of delicious prosecco while mingling with family and friends,also taking the time for some family precious photo moments. Then it was time to go in to the main function room for the best part of the night the meal and to spend the rest of the night on the dance floor showing off your dancing moves,whoop!

FALSIFEYE HD! MASCARA

Happy Saturday Guys,hope your weekend is treating you good so far :)). Myself just chilling after a hard day at the office ;),also taking it easy as I'm heading into The Big Grill Festival in Herbert Park of Ballsbridge tomorrow really looking forward to that. I've decided to do a small review on a product i picked up three weeks back in work. A couple of make-up brands have recently launched some new beauty products onto our shelves an one of those items was Seventeen new mascara Falsifeye HD!

Straight away the bright pink box caught my eye an i knew this was something i wanna buy. I picked it up at the introductory price of 5.89. While i was checking out the box i was drawn to the before and after picture on it of how the mascara was going to make your eyelashes look. What it also said on the box was that 94% saw more definition,93% saw separated lashes and 92% saw long lasting results.

Was it a good buy? The product is available in two colours you have your blackest black and black/brown. The colour i went with was blackest black. It comes in a black tube an again the head is a comb which for me i find much better. I just find its better to get into your lashes an gives you more definition. You also don't have that unwanted mascara hanging off your comb. From the pictures above i did find it opened up my eyes more making them appear bigger. Me personally i do a couple of coats of mascara as i want the look of darker,longer lashes. In a way i felt i got that look. It's a product you could pick up and give your eyelashes that false affect. Maybe this little buy will end up in your make-up bag. Maybe blackest black is the colour for me!!! Has anyone picked up this product yet?What do you think of it!?!

CROATIA 2014

Happy Monday,

Back from a week in Croatia :)

As you know I'm recently back from my little relaxing trip to Pula,Croatia :). My sister and myself decided to take some time out and go on a small little summer break. We went for 5 days to really enjoy ourselves an to disconnect from the world. It was pure bliss and we really enjoyed our time spent when we flied out on the last week of July. What a nice little summer break it was!

We have never been to Croatia and it's a spot i would highly recommend to any one. I would like to head back one day again to see this beautiful country but maybe go to a different part. As I couldn't believe there is so much more to do and the history that is behind Croatia would leave you wanted more.

Straight away we noticed that pula is not a big party destination but we didn't want that. I think there was one or two nightclubs in the town. If you're looking for somewhere to really relax and take some time for yourself this is definitely a spot to think about visiting. We also noticed that it is more suitable for couples and families. Only in the last few years has it grown and become very popular for people to visit. You won't be disappointed with the gorgeous scenery and weather. To tempt you even more here are a couple of snaps from my trip :)).

SWATCH LAUNCH

Happy Monday everyone :)). A major catch up is needed on a few blog piece's. We'll kick it off with the new line of Swatch watches available in Arnotts Department Store. It was all about bright colours,coconuts and of course the delicious sweety treats. Before the launch kicked off I did a quick sneaky pop over to the Benefit counter were the lovely John Paul gave me a demo of how to use their new Benefit They're Real!Push-up liner.

I of course was loving every minute of it in the end I did buy it ;). Back to the launch again their were a couple of girls painting the nails. There was a chance to win one of the watches all we had to do was scratch a card which would reveal a four digit combination to try an open a glass safe. If you had the right combination you got a watch from the new range of course luck wasn't on my side that night but their we're a couple of happy people. The hostesses wore matching colour dresses to go with the launch night,bright yellow,pink,orange. Then we started getting spoiled with the treats that were on offer. Cute little plastic coconut cups that had a coconut cocktail in it, while vita coco coconut water was also available of course i dived on that love the stuff. 

Also we were treated to lovely fruit skewers as the picture above shows and chocolate covered marshmallows,stuffed wasn't the word. Not going to lie it was truly enjoyed could have it all again. Not much was said on the watches apart from yourself going up to look at them displayed on the wall that was my only little disappointment as we were all standing around not known what was really going on. Goody bag consist of a notepad,pen and magazine. After a while people eventually started to leave the event an i made my way to the exit door. It was a nice little event done on a Wednesday night thrilled to have got to go along and see the unveiling of the new watches. I'm also happy i got my new purchase from Benefit :)))
